Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Which? Recommended Provider for Mobile Networks three years running (April 2022, April 2023, April 2024) based on independent customer survey results
  • 30-day rolling SIM plans with no contract, no credit check, and no cancellation fee on SIM-only - cancel or downgrade any month
  • Unlimited Social Media data on every plan (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, WhatsApp, Reddit, Pinterest, Messenger), plus Unlimited Music on £12+ plans and Unlimited Video on £15+ plans
  • Full 5G access included at no extra cost on every plan, using Vodafone's UK network footprint
  • Phones available on 0% APR PayPal Credit financing over 36/30/24/12 months with £0 upfront - Voxi is FCA-registered for credit broking (registration 712210)
  • Trustpilot rating 3.2/5 across 23,589 reviews (May 2026) - materially better than parent Vodafone and most UK MNO direct stores
  • Friends With Benefits referral programme: £20-£40 reward to both customers (Amazon, Just Eat or PayPal cash) on qualifying plan terms

Cons

  • EU roaming is NOT included in plans - customers must purchase a separate European Roaming Pass, and Unlimited Social/Music/Video apps abroad eat the general data allowance with a 20GB fair-usage cap per 30-day plan
  • Phone purchases require a minimum £10/month Voxi SIM plan alongside the financed handset - the headline £0 upfront / 0% APR pricing on the phone hides this extra commitment in marketing copy
  • No physical retail presence - all sales and customer support run through voxi.co.uk and digital channels; no store walk-ins for SIM swaps or device exchanges
  • Trustpilot criticism clusters around number porting, SIM activation timing and PAYG-to-plan migrations - common MVNO friction points but worth flagging if you need same-day connectivity
  • Voucher and offer T&Cs change frequently (the 3x data offer ending 27/05/26, for example, reverts £10 from 60GB back to 20GB after that date) - read the current tariff carefully before committing

Overview

Voxi is Vodafone's digital-first MVNO, launched in September 2017 and operated by Vodafone Limited (Companies House No. 1471587) from Vodafone House in Newbury. It runs on Vodafone's UK network with full 4G and 5G access at no extra cost, and is one of the only mainstream UK networks where every plan ships with Unlimited Social Media data (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, Reddit, WhatsApp, Messenger and others) on top of the standard general-purpose allowance. Higher-tier plans add Unlimited Music streaming (£12+) and Unlimited Video streaming (£15+) on selected apps.

All Voxi SIM plans are 30-day rolling with no fixed term, no credit check on SIM-only, and no cancellation fee - the entire selling pitch is contract-free. Phones are sold separately on 36-month, 30-month, 24-month or 12-month PayPal Credit financing at 0% APR (Voxi acts as appointed credit broker, FCA Financial Services Registry No 712210, with PayPal UK Ltd as the lender). A minimum £10/month Voxi SIM plan is required when a phone is purchased, which our deals page combines into a single all-in monthly price for like-for-like comparison against O2, EE and Three contract phones.

Voxi has been named a Which? Recommended Provider for Mobile Networks every year from 2022 to 2024 - an unbroken three-year run that puts it ahead of every major UK MNO except Tesco Mobile in independent surveys. Trustpilot sits at 3.2/5 across 23,589 reviews (May 2026), comfortably above parent Vodafone and the big four MNOs whose stores hover at 1.5-2.0/5. The reservoir of criticism that does exist centres on SIM activation, number porting, and account migrations from Pay As You Go - issues common across MVNOs but worth flagging if you need a number in hand the same day.

The Friends With Benefits referral programme pays both sides a £20-£40 reward (Amazon, Just Eat or PayPal cash) after the referred friend has been with Voxi for two months on a qualifying plan.

Cashback & Offers

Voxi does not run direct cashback promotions on tariffs. Promotional value comes via the Friends With Benefits referral programme (£20-£40 Amazon / Just Eat / PayPal cash for both parties on qualifying plans), the 3x Data periodic offer (currently triples the standard data allowance on the £10, £12 and £15 plans through 27/05/26), and time-limited handset price drops (Pixel 10a 256GB £201.60 off, Galaxy S26 256GB £280.80 off, etc. - rotated through the year).

Our Verdict

Voxi is the strongest of the Vodafone-family budget tier and one of the better-regarded MVNOs in the UK. The combination of Vodafone's 5G network footprint, 30-day rolling SIMs with no contract, Unlimited Social Media on every plan, 0% APR phone financing over 36 months, and three consecutive Which? Recommended Provider awards (2022, 2023, 2024) is genuinely differentiated against most direct-from-network competition. Trustpilot at 3.2/5 across 23,589 reviews is not glowing but materially better than the 1.5-2.0/5 cluster where parent Vodafone and the big four MNOs sit, and the criticism that exists is mostly the predictable MVNO friction around porting and SIM activation rather than the warranty-and-refund nightmares that drag manufacturer-direct stores down.

The biggest caveat is the roaming story. EE, Three and Vodafone direct all include some form of inclusive Roam Like Home on their flagship tariffs; Voxi does not - the European Roaming Pass is a separate paid add-on, and Unlimited Social / Music / Video apps abroad pull from the general allowance with a 20GB cap. For a regular UK customer who travels to Europe a few times a year, that gap can cost more than the SIM savings over a year. The second caveat is the dual-commitment shape of the phone financing: the "£0 upfront / 0% APR / no SIM contract" headline obscures the fact that buying a phone forces a minimum £10/month SIM plan on top of the phone instalment. Our deal cards combine the two into one all-in monthly so the total cost is visible.

For SIM-only customers, Voxi is on the short-list. For phone-on-contract customers, the price comparison is fair only when both components are summed. For heavy EU travellers, look at EE Stay Connected or Three Go Roam first.
