How to check whether your network has an outage, which brands share each network, and what to do while you wait.
The fastest way to confirm an outage is your network's own service checker: it knows about planned work and faults at your postcode. This site does not show live status. Each page below links to the official checker and explains how to tell a network outage from a problem with your phone or weak signal where you are.
Most UK brands run on one of four networks. When EE, O2, Three or Vodafone has an outage, the brands that use its masts are usually affected too.

If there is no known fault, the signal may simply be weak where you are. Check coverage by postcode with Ofcom data, or see SIM-only deals on other networks.
