UK mobile network status: is it down?
How to check whether your network has an outage, which brands share each network, and what to do while you wait.
The fastest way to confirm an outage is your network's own service checker: it knows about planned work and faults at your postcode. This site does not show live status. Each page below links to the official checker and explains how to tell a network outage from a problem with your phone or weak signal where you are.
Most UK brands run on one of four networks: giffgaff, Sky Mobile and Tesco Mobile use O2; iD Mobile and SMARTY use Three; VOXI and Lebara use Vodafone. When a host network has an outage, the brands on its masts are usually affected too, but a brand can also have problems of its own, such as billing or activation faults.
