How to Top Up VOXI Pay As You Go

VOXI is a UK mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) owned by Vodafone, running on the full Vodafone network.

VOXI is a UK mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) owned by Vodafone, running on the full Vodafone network. That means VOXI customers get the same 4G and 5G coverage as Vodafone direct, but with VOXI's own pricing and a feature that has become its signature: free social media data on most plans, where usage of apps like Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, X and WhatsApp does not count against your monthly data allowance. VOXI was originally launched as a younger-audience brand for Vodafone, with the Endless Social tier giving heavy social media users effectively unlimited use of the apps that matter most. The endless concept has since been expanded on selected Plans to cover endless video and endless music as well.

VOXI works slightly differently from a traditional PAYG SIM. Instead of pay-per-use credit, you choose a 30-day Plan and pay for it up front, and the Plan refreshes every 30 days. There is no contract, you can cancel any time, and you can change Plans whenever you like. Topping up on VOXI therefore really means renewing your Plan, which you can do five ways: online at voxi.co.uk, through the VOXI app, with a top-up voucher from a UK retailer, in store, or by setting up auto-renew. Most Plans include 5G access on supported phones at no extra cost. VOXI Plans run on a 30-day rolling cycle: at the end of each month auto-renew kicks in, or - if turned off - you fall back to standard PAYG rates until you choose a new Plan.

If you renew the same Plan every month, a longer SIM-only contract on Vodafone, another Vodafone-network MVNO, or a different UK network may save you a bit more for the same allowance. You can keep your existing number when switching by getting a free PAC code from VOXI first. This guide covers every top-up method, current Plan pricing, the endless social media feature in detail, voucher locations and the most common questions VOXI users have.

How to top up VOXI

There are five ways to add credit to a VOXI PAYG SIM. Pick whichever suits you - they all credit your number within a minute.

1

Top up VOXI online

The simplest way to renew or top up VOXI is at voxi.co.uk/topup. Enter the VOXI mobile number, choose a Plan or top-up amount, and pay by debit or credit card. The chosen Plan starts immediately and runs for 30 days. If you have a VOXI account, signing in lets you save card details, view your renewal history and switch Plans without having to choose them again each month. Online top-up accepts Visa, Mastercard and Maestro and there is no fee. Because VOXI is Plan-based rather than credit-based, the amount you pay buys a defined allowance rather than units of credit.

2

Top up via the VOXI app

The VOXI app is the easiest way to manage a VOXI SIM. Download VOXI from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with your VOXI mobile number, and tap Top Up or My Plan on the home screen. You can renew your current Plan, choose a different one for next month, or buy a one-off top-up. Payment is by saved card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the Plan is applied straight away. The app also shows how much general data and social media data you have left in your current 30-day cycle, when it expires, and lets you switch on auto-renew.

3

VOXI top-up voucher

VOXI top-up vouchers are sold at most UK supermarkets and convenience shops and are useful when you do not have a debit card or want to gift credit. Vouchers come in £10, £15, £20, £30 and £50 amounts. To redeem, dial 4444 free from your VOXI phone or visit voxi.co.uk/topup and enter the 16-digit code. You can also redeem in the VOXI app under Top Up. Once redeemed, the voucher value goes towards your next Plan renewal or, if you choose, can be used as flexible credit for one-off charges.

Top up in store

VOXI does not have its own high-street stores, but VOXI top-ups and vouchers are widely stocked at UK supermarkets, petrol stations and convenience shops, including Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Morrisons, Co-op and PayPoint outlets. Tell the cashier the VOXI mobile number and the amount, pay in cash or card, and the voucher code is printed on your receipt. Enter the code online or in the VOXI app to apply it to your account.

5

Auto-renew

Auto-renew is the default on VOXI Plans and works slightly differently from credit-based auto top-up: each month, on the renewal date, VOXI charges your saved card for the same Plan and the new 30-day cycle starts. You do not need to remember to top up. If a renewal payment fails, VOXI tries again over a few days and notifies you - your number stays active during this period but data is paused until renewal succeeds. You can change your Plan, change card or cancel auto-renew at any time in the VOXI app.

Where to buy VOXI top-up vouchers

VOXI top-up vouchers are sold at most major UK retailers. Look for them at the till, the customer service desk, or any PayPoint counter.

Renewing the same VOXI Plan every month?

VOXI is already great value, but if you renew the same Plan every month a longer-term SIM-only contract on Vodafone, an MVNO on Vodafone's network, or one of the other UK networks may save you a bit more. You can compare current SIM-only deals from £3.90/mo across all the major networks.

VOXI PAYG top-up FAQs

How long does my VOXI Plan last?
Each VOXI Plan runs for 30 days from the date it starts. At the end of the 30 days the Plan expires, and either auto-renew kicks in to start a fresh 30-day Plan or, if auto-renew is off, you fall back to standard PAYG rates until you choose a new Plan.
Can I top up someone else's VOXI SIM?
Yes. On voxi.co.uk/topup or in the VOXI app, enter the VOXI mobile number you want to top up rather than your own. The Plan or credit is applied to that account immediately, and you do not need to be logged in. You can also buy a voucher in any participating shop and pass on the code so they can redeem it.
What does endless social media on VOXI mean?
VOXI's endless social media feature means data used by supported social media apps - including Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook, X and WhatsApp - does not count against your Plan's data allowance. Browsing those apps is therefore effectively unlimited even on smaller-data Plans, as long as you stay within the supported app list.
How do I check my VOXI balance and Plan?
Open the VOXI app and the home screen shows your remaining general data, endless social media indicator, and Plan expiry date. You can also dial 4444 free from your VOXI phone for an automated update or text BAL to 4444 free of charge.
Will my VOXI Plan auto-renew?
Yes, VOXI Plans are set to auto-renew by default each 30 days using your saved card. If a renewal payment fails, VOXI tries again over a few days and notifies you. You can switch off auto-renew at any time in the VOXI app under My Plan, in which case you fall back to PAYG rates when your current Plan expires until you choose a new one.
Can I get 5G on a VOXI SIM?
Yes. 5G is included on most VOXI Plans at no extra cost, provided you have a 5G-capable phone and are in a 5G coverage area. VOXI uses Vodafone's 5G network, which covers a large and growing share of UK towns and cities.
