The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina screen is bright, well-calibrated and laminated so the Apple Pencil feels like it is writing directly on the glass, though it lacks the 120Hz ProMotion smoothness of the iPad Pro. Touch ID lives in the top button rather than under the screen, which is quick and works fine with a mask on. The two real caveats are the 64GB base storage, which fills quickly and cannot be expanded, and the fact that the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard are both separate purchases.
