The best Apple iPhone Duo contract deal starts from £13.00/month with Metrofone.
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable, announced on 9 September 2026 and on sale in the UK from 23 October 2026 at £1,999 for 256GB, with pre-orders from 1pm on 16 October. For a year it was reported as the iPhone Fold; Apple's name refers to its two displays. It opens book-style from a 5.4-inch cover screen into a 7.6-inch inner panel, both ProMotion OLED at 3,000 nits, in a grade 5 titanium body that is 5.2mm thick open and 11.3mm closed. Inside is the same A20 Pro chip as the iPhone 18 Pro. What it gives up for the folding screen is the Pro's camera system: the Duo has a 48MP main and a 48MP ultrawide with a 12MP 2x crop, no 4x telephoto and no variable aperture. It also drops Face ID for Touch ID in the side button, and it is eSIM-only worldwide with no SIM tray. Apple rates the battery at up to 44 hours of video on the cover display and 31 on the inner one. Colours are star white and night sky, and storage runs from 256GB to 2TB.

Based on calibrated CPU benchmark rankings (60%) and GFXBench GPU scores (40%). Apple chipsets included via editorial calibration since AnTuTu under-represents Apple's architecture.
Based on panel type (LTPO is the modern flagship gold standard), resolution, refresh rate, peak brightness, screen size, and HDR10+ / Dolby Vision support. Marketing peak-brightness claims are capped at 3500 nits to prevent inflation.
Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality. Where DXOMARK has lab-tested the phone, its measured score replaces this estimate.
Based on the image-processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra and Honor Magic lead on computational processing), sensor resolution in tiers rather than raw megapixels, autofocus, aperture and max selfie-video resolution. Calibrated against DXOMARK's selfie protocol.
