The Samsung Galaxy A06 sits right at the bottom of Samsung's range, and it is best understood as a dependable first phone or a simple second handset rather than a phone chasing specifications. What it does well is the basics: the 5000mAh battery lasts easily beyond a day with light use, One UI is far tidier than the software on most budget rivals, and there is a dedicated microSD slot so you can add storage cheaply instead of paying for a bigger model. The compromises are real, though. The 6.7-inch screen is only HD resolution and runs at 60Hz, which looks noticeably softer and less fluid than the sharper 90Hz panel Samsung fitted to the outgoing Galaxy A05s, and the Helio G85 chip is built for messaging, streaming and social apps rather than gaming or heavy multitasking. The 50MP camera is fine in daylight and struggles once the light drops. Buy it for reliability, Samsung's service network and two guaranteed Android upgrades, not for performance.
