What the phone actually does well is stamina and charging. The 5,000mAh battery paired with the modest Snapdragon 695 easily lasts a full day, and 67W charging refills it in the time it takes to get ready in the morning. OnePlus also kept practical touches the competition often drops: a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD slot and stereo speakers. The compromises are visible. The 6.72-inch screen is an IPS LCD rather than AMOLED, so blacks and outdoor contrast are ordinary despite the 120Hz refresh rate, and at 195g in a 165.5mm body it is a phone you notice in a pocket.
