The Moto G24 sits right at the bottom of Motorola's range, and it is refreshingly clear about its priorities: a big screen, a big battery, proper stereo speakers and a clean version of Android rather than raw speed. The 6.56-inch panel runs at 90Hz, so scrolling feels smoother than most phones at this level, but it is a 720p LCD and that shows up in small text and video detail. The Helio G85 chip is a familiar budget workhorse, comfortable with messaging, maps, streaming and light games but easily overwhelmed by heavy multitasking. Motorola has kept the practical bits budget buyers actually use, including a headphone jack, a microSD slot and a fingerprint reader built into the power button. The trade-offs are real, though. There is no 5G at all, so you stay on 4G for the life of the phone, wired charging tops out at 15W, and the rear camera pairs a 50MP main sensor with a 2MP macro rather than a genuinely useful ultrawide. As a first phone, a work handset or a spare, it does the job well. As a main phone for a heavy user, it will feel slow.
