The Galaxy Tab S8+ is the middle child of Samsung's 2022 tablet range, and it is the one that makes the most sense for people who actually want to work on a tablet rather than just watch things on one. The jump from the standard Tab S8 is the screen: a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED panel instead of an LCD, which means proper inky blacks for films and noticeably better contrast when you are editing photos or reading in a dim room. It is also large enough that Samsung DeX becomes genuinely usable as a desktop-style workspace with a keyboard cover attached. The S Pen comes in the box, magnetically snaps to the back, and the low latency makes handwritten notes feel close to natural. Battery life is the other quiet advantage over the smaller model, since the bigger cell comfortably covers a working day of mixed use. Four years on, its Android update commitment has been honoured well past launch, so it remains a credible large-screen Android tablet rather than a curiosity. The trade-off is bulk: at over half a kilo it is a two-hands-on-the-sofa device.
