About the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the top of Xiaomi's mid-range Note range, and the thing that separates it from the standard Pro is speed rather than screen or camera hardware. It charges at 100W, which turns a flat 6,500mAh battery into a short coffee break rather than an evening on the plug, and it uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip that handles gaming and multitasking more comfortably than the MediaTek silicon in its sibling. The 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display is shared with the Pro, including the 3,200 nit peak brightness and high-frequency PWM dimming, as is the 200MP stabilised main camera. What you also gain is a sharper 32MP front camera and a fibreglass-reinforced back designed to absorb knocks, on top of IP68 and IP69K sealing that few phones at this level match. The ultrawide is still a modest 8MP and there is no telephoto lens or wireless charging, so this is a phone built around endurance, durability and charging speed rather than photographic range.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ worth buying?
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is worth buying if you want the fastest charging and the strongest performance in Xiaomi's Note range without moving up to a flagship. You get a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 100W charging and full IP68/IP69K protection. If charging speed is not a priority, the standard Redmi Note 15 Pro shares the same screen and main camera.
How fast does the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ charge?
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ supports 100W wired charging for its 6,500mAh battery, which is roughly twice the wired speed of the standard Redmi Note 15 Pro. That makes short top-ups genuinely practical during the day. There is no wireless charging on this model.
How good is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ camera?
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ uses a 200MP stabilised main camera that captures a lot of detail in daylight and allows lossless-style cropping to 2x. It is paired with a basic 8MP ultrawide and there is no dedicated zoom lens. The 32MP front camera is a step up on the standard Pro's 20MP sensor.
Is the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ durable?
Yes. It carries IP68 and IP69K ratings, so it is dust tight and protected against both immersion and high-pressure water jets, and the back panel uses fibreglass reinforcement to help absorb impacts. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the display. That combination is unusual outside of flagship phones.
How does the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ compare to the Redmi Note 15 Pro?
They share the 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display, the 200MP main camera, the 8MP ultrawide and the same IP68/IP69K sealing. The Pro+ swaps to a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, more than doubles wired charging speed to 100W and upgrades the front camera to 32MP, while the standard Pro has a marginally larger 6,580mAh battery. If you charge in short bursts during the day, the Pro+ is the more useful of the two.
Does the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have expandable storage?
No, there is no microSD slot, so pick your capacity at purchase from the 256GB and 512GB configurations. RAM options are 8GB and 12GB depending on the model. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack either, though stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos are included.

Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality.

Based on battery capacity (mAh) adjusted for platform efficiency calibrated against NotebookCheck, Tom's Guide, GSMArena and CNET reviewer tests. Apple A-series gets +45% (iOS process freezing + LTPO 1Hz + tuned panels make iPhone Pro Max outlast many 6500+ mAh Android phones in measured tests). Top Snapdragon / Dimensity flagships get +15%, budget chipsets are penalised −15% to −25% to reflect less efficient displays and looser background limits. Charging speed is excluded — see the separate Fast charging tag for that.
