About the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S
The Redmi Note 11S was Xiaomi's attempt to sneak a genuinely nice screen and a very high resolution camera into a phone most people would class as cheap, and on those two counts it succeeded. The 6.43-inch AMOLED panel is the star: deep blacks, a 90Hz refresh rate and enough peak brightness to stay readable outdoors, which is more than most budget rivals of its era managed. The 108MP main camera sounds dramatic, and in daylight it does produce detailed shots, though it bins down to a more modest resolution by default and struggles once the light drops.
