The Mi 11X Pro is the same hardware as the Mi 11i sold under a different name, and understanding that tells you most of what you need to know. It is a value flagship built around the Snapdragon 888, the top Android chip of its generation, wrapped in a body that costs far less than the phones normally carrying that chip. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel runs at 120Hz and is genuinely excellent, stereo speakers back it up, and UFS 3.1 storage keeps everything feeling immediate. Xiaomi found the savings in the areas enthusiasts notice least on a spec sheet and most in daily use: there is no wireless charging, no telephoto lens, no headphone jack and no microSD slot, and the plastic frame does little to help the Snapdragon 888 shed heat during long gaming sessions. The 108MP main camera is strong in daylight and ordinary at night. Software support has now ended. It remains a fast, sharp-screened phone for the money, but it was never a camera phone and is not a long-term buy.
