The Galaxy S27 series is expected to become a four-phone range in early 2027, with a new S27 Pro slotting in between the S27+ and the S27 Ultra. The reporting points to an Unpacked event between mid-January and late February 2027, a UK release a fortnight later, and a price rise driven by chip and memory costs rather than by anything Samsung wants to do.
Last updated 13 September 2026. Samsung has confirmed nothing about the Galaxy S27 - not the models, not the date, not a single price. Everything below comes from leaked CAD renders, certification filings, supply-chain reporting and tipsters, all attributed in Sources. Every pound figure on this page is our own arithmetic from the Galaxy S26's UK prices, and is labelled as such. Where two reports disagree, we show both rather than pick the tidier number.
When is the Galaxy S27 out in the UK?
There is no date. What there is, is a pattern. Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 at Unpacked on 25 February 2026, opened pre-orders the same day, ran its pre-order offers until 10 March and put the phones on general sale on 11 March. That was itself a change: the S25 generation launched in January, and Samsung pushed the S26 back to the week before Mobile World Congress.
SamMobile expects the S27 in "January or February 2027". Android Headlines is more specific, guessing the week of 22 February 2027 on the basis that Samsung will keep its new pre-MWC slot. Both are estimates by journalists, not leaked dates.
| Milestone | Expected | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S27 Unpacked | Between mid-January and late February 2027 | Low. SamMobile says January or February; Android Headlines narrows it to the week of 22 February. Samsung has announced nothing |
| UK pre-orders open | Announcement day | Medium. Samsung opened UK S26 pre-orders on 25 February 2026, the day of the keynote |
| UK general sale | Roughly two weeks after Unpacked | Medium. S26 pre-order offers ran to 10 March 2026, with general sale from 11 March |
| First UK network contracts | Announcement day | Medium. EE, Vodafone, Three, O2 and the main retailers all listed S26 tariffs on announcement day |
| Galaxy S27 FE | Autumn 2027 | Very low. Nothing has leaked. Fan Edition phones have followed the flagship by roughly eight months |
If the late-February guess holds, UK buyers are looking at the first half of March 2027. If Samsung reverts to its old January slot, everything moves up by about six weeks. We would not plan a purchase around either until an Unpacked invite exists.
How much will the Galaxy S27 cost in the UK?
No UK pricing has leaked. What we can do is start from what the Galaxy S26 actually cost and apply the rises that have been reported for the US.
The Galaxy S26 range launched in the UK in March 2026 at £879 for the S26, £1,099 for the S26+ and £1,279 for the S26 Ultra, each for the 256GB model. Those are still the sticker prices at Fonehouse and Metrofone in our own comparison today.
Three cost pressures point the same way. Qualcomm wrote to customers in July 2026 saying it would raise chip prices by a double-digit percentage on products shipped after 1 September 2026, which Bloomberg reported and which lands squarely on the S27's silicon. Samsung Foundry raised its own advanced-node contract prices by up to 15% from September 2026, per Reuters, which affects the Exynos side. And memory prices have not eased: Android Headlines describes an ongoing RAM crisis that analysts do not expect to resolve for several years. US reporting expects roughly a $100 rise per model, with the S27 Ultra put at $1,399 or possibly $1,499.
Those US rises work out at about 7.7% on the Ultra and about 11.1% on the base model. The right-hand column below applies that same band to the S26's UK launch prices. It is our arithmetic, not a leak, and Samsung does not set UK prices by converting dollars.
| Model | S26 UK launch price (256GB) | Our arithmetic for the S27 - an inference, not a leak |
|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S27 | £879 | Roughly £945 to £980 |
| Galaxy S27+ | £1,099 | Roughly £1,180 to £1,220 |
| Galaxy S27 Pro | No predecessor | Roughly £1,250 to £1,300, if it lands where Android Headlines expects, at the S26 Ultra's current price point |
| Galaxy S27 Ultra | £1,279 | Roughly £1,375 to £1,420 |
Two caveats worth more than the numbers. Samsung discounted heavily at S26 pre-order, doubling storage for free so that the £879, £1,099 and £1,279 tiers bought 512GB rather than 256GB. Expect a similar sweetener rather than a lower headline price. And Samsung has sometimes held a UK price flat while the US price rose, absorbing the difference in exchange rates, so a smaller rise here is entirely possible.
Four models, not three: the S27 Pro
The most concrete thing known about the S27 series is not a spec, it is the shape of the range. In June 2026 SamMobile found four unannounced Samsung devices in the GSMA database, listed by name alongside their model numbers: SM-S952U for the Galaxy S27, SM-S956U for the S27+, SM-S957B/DS for the Galaxy S27 Pro and SM-S958U for the S27 Ultra. A GSMA entry is an administrative record rather than a Samsung announcement, but it is the sort of document that rarely lists a phone that does not exist.
What the Pro appears to be is a smaller Ultra. OnLeaks CAD renders published by Android Headlines on 27 August 2026 show it sharing the Ultra's new horizontal camera bar, at roughly 154.06 x 73.77 x 7.95mm with about a 6.6in display, against 163.76 x 78.25 x 7.97mm and 6.9in for the Ultra. The one visible hardware difference in the renders is the S Pen: the Ultra still has a silo for it, the Pro does not. Digital Chat Station had earlier described the Pro as having a 6.5in panel, so the screen size is not settled.
It is not simply a shrunk Ultra, though. ETNews reports the Pro drops to a 12MP 3x telephoto where the Ultra gets a 50MP 5x, which SamMobile's report frames as the disappointment of the leak so far - buyers hoping the Pro would be an Ultra in a one-handed body will not get the zoom. On current reporting the Pro matches the Ultra on the 200MP main camera, the 50MP ultrawide, the Snapdragon chip, 60W charging and Privacy Display, and gives up the telephoto and the stylus.
What is expected to change
The camera housing, on the two premium models only. Android Headlines published OnLeaks CAD renders of the S27 Ultra on 25 August 2026, the base S27 on 26 August and the S27 Pro on 27 August. The Ultra and Pro move from Samsung's vertical lens column to a raised horizontal camera plateau across the top of the back, which Android Headlines measures at 12.53mm thick on the Ultra with the bump, and compares to what Apple did with the iPhone 17 Pro. Android Headlines notes it leaked the same design a year earlier for the cancelled Galaxy S26 Edge, so this is not a new idea inside Samsung. Ice Universe independently shared case renders on 2 September 2026 showing the same housing on both models. The base S27 keeps the vertical triple stack and, per Android Headlines, will still rock on a flat table.
Silicon, and a possible Exynos comeback. Digital Chat Station reports the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra get Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, model SM8975, on TSMC's second-generation 2nm N2P process with an Adreno 850 GPU and a CPU crossing 5GHz. The S27 and S27+ are expected to use Samsung's Exynos 2700 in most markets, with Snapdragon reserved for China, Canada and the US. For UK buyers that split matters: Android Headlines reports the Galaxy S26 shipped with Snapdragon in the US and the Exynos 2600 in Europe, so a UK S27 or S27+ is most likely Exynos. A separate Korean report, carried by SamMobile on 2 September, claims Samsung is considering the Exynos 2700 for the S27 Ultra in selected countries including South Korea, which would be the first Exynos Ultra since the S22 generation. A Snapdragon Ultra is described as close to complete, so UK Ultra buyers should not expect Exynos.
Batteries, via silicon-carbon. Chinese Compulsory Certificate filings spotted by @ZionsAnvin cover charging rather than capacity, and they point to no change at the bottom of the range: 25W wired on the S27 and 45W on the S27+, identical to the S26 and S26+. The Pro and Ultra are listed at 60W. On capacity, reporting puts the Pro at 5,200mAh and the Ultra at 5,700mAh according to Android Headlines or 5,800mAh according to SamMobile, with the base S27 at around 4,900mAh. Those would be real increases, and they are attributed to Samsung extending the silicon-carbon cells it used on the 2026 foldables across the S line.
Privacy Display moving down the range. ETNews reports that the Flex Magic Pixel panel technology that debuted on the S26 Ultra, which narrows the viewing angle so people beside you cannot read the screen, will appear on both the S27 Pro and the S27 Ultra. The S27 and S27+ are not expected to get it.

Should you wait for the S27 or buy a Galaxy S26 now?
Buy the S26 unless you specifically want one of the three things the S27 is expected to add.
The arithmetic is straightforward. The S27 is at least four months away and probably closer to six, and every component signal - Qualcomm's price letter, Samsung Foundry's rise, the memory market - points to it costing more than the S26 did, not less. Meanwhile the S26 has done what every flagship does in its second half-year. Our comparison tracks 7,220 Galaxy S26 deals, with the cheapest SIM-free listing at £569 and the cheapest contract with nothing to pay upfront at £28.90 a month over 36 months. New stock at the mainstream retailers sits at £779 for the 256GB model, against that £879 launch price in March.
The same holds at the top of the range. The cheapest Galaxy S26 Ultra listing we track is £919, with new retail stock from around £1,129 against a £1,279 launch price. The cheapest listings in both cases are graded and refurbished sellers rather than high-street stock, so check the condition before you click through.
Wait only if you want the redesigned camera plateau, the 200MP main sensor on the Pro and Ultra, or the bigger silicon-carbon battery - and accept that you will pay a launch premium for them in a year when launch premiums are going up. Both generations get seven years of Samsung software updates, which removes the usual argument for buying the newest phone. And if you do want an S27, the reliable move is the same one that works every year: buy the outgoing S26 in the two to three weeks after the S27 reaches shops, when it falls hardest.
What we still do not know
- The date. Nothing has leaked. Mid-January to late February 2027 is a range derived from Samsung's own recent behaviour, and Samsung has already moved this launch window once.
- Any UK price. Not a single figure. The pounds on this page are our arithmetic applied to the S26's launch prices, and the US rumours they lean on are themselves unconfirmed.
- The S27+. It is the least-leaked model of the four. No CAD renders have been published, no display size, no battery capacity - only a model number and a 45W charging figure from a certification filing.
- Whether an S27 Edge exists. On 2 September 2026 SamMobile reported two accounts on X making incompatible claims: one a 5.8in phone with a 4,300mAh battery just over 4mm thick, the other a 6.8in phone at 5.4mm. SamMobile told readers to take both with a pinch of salt, and the Galaxy S25 Edge missed Samsung's sales expectations and got no 2026 successor. We would not count on it.
- Storage and RAM tiers. Expectations of 12GB and 256GB as the floor on the premium models are extrapolation from the S26, not leaks.
- Colours. The purple on the S27 Pro renders is a CAD presentation colour chosen by the leaker, and Android Headlines says so explicitly. Nothing is known about retail finishes.
- Which UK networks get which model. A four-model range is new, and there is no guarantee EE, Vodafone, Three and O2 all stock the Pro at launch.
We will update this page as the reporting firms up, and it will become the full UK deal comparison the moment merchant feeds start carrying S27 stock. Until then, see everything else heading for a UK release on our upcoming phones page, or compare what is actually on sale today across Samsung phone deals.
