About the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is a bold engineering statement, packing flagship-grade internals into a body that measures just 5.8mm thin and weighs only 163 grams. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite and 12GB of RAM, it delivers the same raw performance as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, while a titanium frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 ensure it does not sacrifice durability for slimness. The 6.7-inch display provides an expansive canvas for media and productivity, and the 200MP main camera, borrowed directly from the S25 Ultra, captures stunning detail in any lighting condition alongside a 12MP ultrawide with autofocus for macro shots. Where the Edge makes deliberate trade-offs is in battery life, with a 3,900mAh cell that demands more mindful usage than Samsung's standard flagships, and in the absence of a telephoto lens, relying instead on digital zoom up to 10x. Galaxy AI is fully integrated at every level, from smart photo editing to real-time translation and writing assistance. For buyers who prioritise design, portability, and making a statement, the Galaxy S25 Edge is unlike anything else in Samsung's lineup.

Frequently asked questions

Is a contract cheaper than buying the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Blue outright with a SIM-only plan?
No — buying outright saves you £680.84 over 36 months. The cheapest contract totals £1,498.84 (36 months). Buying SIM-free at £530.00 plus a typical 15GB SIM-only plan (~£8.00/mo) totals £818.00.
Is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge worth buying?
The Galaxy S25 Edge is worth buying if ultra-slim design and portability are your top priorities. It packs the same Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and 200MP main camera as the S25 Ultra into a remarkably thin body. However, buyers should be aware of trade-offs in battery life and the lack of a telephoto camera. It suits those who value aesthetics and pocketability over maximum battery endurance.
How thin is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge measures just 5.8mm in thickness, making it one of the thinnest flagship smartphones ever produced. It weighs only 163 grams, which is approximately 25% lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Despite the slim profile, the titanium frame and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 maintain structural rigidity and scratch resistance.
How good is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge camera?
The Galaxy S25 Edge features a 200MP main sensor, the same found in the S25 Ultra, delivering exceptional detail and low-light performance. The 12MP ultrawide includes autofocus for macro photography. The notable absence is a dedicated telephoto lens, meaning zoom tops out at 10x digital magnification. For wide-angle and everyday photography, it matches the best in Samsung's lineup.
How long does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge battery last?
The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900mAh battery, which is the trade-off for its ultra-thin design. In real-world use, expect around 4.5 to 5 hours of screen-on time under lab conditions. It will get most users through a day with moderate use, but heavy users may need a top-up by evening. The efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite chip helps maximise what the smaller battery can deliver.
What colours does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge come in?
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is available in three colours: Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Silver. All finishes feature the premium titanium frame that contributes to both the phone's durability and its distinctive, sleek aesthetic.
Does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge support Galaxy AI?
Yes, the Galaxy S25 Edge fully supports Samsung's Galaxy AI suite powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and 12GB of RAM. Features include Audio Eraser for removing unwanted sounds from videos, smart photo editing, real-time translation, writing assistance, and Google Gemini integration for conversational AI.

Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality. Where DXOMARK has lab-tested the phone, its measured score replaces this estimate.

Based on battery capacity (mAh) adjusted for platform efficiency calibrated against NotebookCheck, Tom's Guide, GSMArena and CNET reviewer tests. Apple A-series gets +45% (iOS process freezing + LTPO 1Hz + tuned panels make iPhone Pro Max outlast many 6500+ mAh Android phones in measured tests). Top Snapdragon / Dimensity flagships get +15%, budget chipsets are penalised −15% to −25% to reflect less efficient displays and looser background limits. Charging speed is excluded — see the separate Fast charging tag for that.
