The Galaxy M23 is the entry point into Samsung's 5G-capable M range, and it earns its place mostly on one decision: Samsung used Qualcomm's Snapdragon 750G here rather than a cheaper in-house chip. That gives it a more even, predictable feel in everyday use than you might expect at this level, and it handles 5G on all UK networks. Around that sits a familiar budget Samsung recipe - a 6.6-inch 120Hz LCD, a 5,000mAh battery, a 50MP main camera and a plastic body. The screen is the compromise. It is a TFT LCD, so blacks look grey and outdoor brightness is ordinary next to any AMOLED phone, and the 120Hz refresh rate does more for the perception of speed than the panel quality does.
