About the Oppo Find X2 Pro

The Find X2 Pro was Oppo's serious attempt to be taken seriously in the UK, and it arrived with a spec sheet that embarrassed phones costing more. The 6.7-inch 1440p AMOLED runs at 120Hz and was calibrated well enough to be treated as a reference-grade panel at launch. Its real party trick is charging: 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 takes the 4,260mAh battery from flat to full in under 40 minutes, which still beats most 2026 flagships sold in Britain. The camera set is unusually complete too, with a large 48MP main sensor, a matching 48MP ultrawide rather than the token low-resolution unit rivals used, and a 13MP periscope giving genuine 5x optical reach. Trade-offs are the weight, which reaches 217g on the vegan leather versions, the absence of wireless charging, and a software record that ended well before Oppo's current update promises. As a refurbished buy it is a lot of hardware for the money, provided you are comfortable running an unsupported Android version.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Oppo Find X2 Pro worth buying?
It is worth considering refurbished if you want a genuinely high-end 120Hz 1440p screen, 5x periscope zoom and extremely fast charging. The Snapdragon 865 still handles everyday tasks well. The main reason to hesitate is software: Android updates and security patches for the Find X2 Pro have ended.
Does the Oppo Find X2 Pro have wireless charging?
No. Oppo left wireless charging out and concentrated on wired speed instead, fitting 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 that refills the 4,260mAh battery from empty to full in around 38 minutes. If wireless charging is essential, look at the Find X3 Pro, which adds 30W wireless.
Is the Oppo Find X2 Pro waterproof?
It is rated IP68, so it is protected against dust and can survive being submerged in fresh water. Bear in mind that on a used or refurbished handset the original seals may have been disturbed by repairs, so it is safer to treat it as splash resistant.
Is the Oppo Find X2 Pro camera good?
Yes, it was one of the better camera phones of its generation. The 48MP Sony IMX689 main sensor is large for its era, the 48MP ultrawide keeps detail that rival low-resolution ultrawides lose, and the 13MP periscope delivers true 5x optical zoom. Processing is a little more contrast-heavy than a Pixel of the same year.
How long will the Oppo Find X2 Pro receive updates?
It will not receive further updates. The phone shipped on ColorOS 7.1 with Android 10 and its major update run has finished, with security patching now stopped. Oppo's longer update commitments apply to much newer Find and Reno models, not this generation.
How does the Oppo Find X2 Pro compare to the Find X3 Pro?
The Find X3 Pro moves to a Snapdragon 888, upgrades both main and ultrawide cameras to 50MP with an LTPO panel that varies its refresh rate to save power, and adds 30W wireless charging. The Find X2 Pro keeps the advantage on zoom, with a 13MP 5x periscope against the Find X3 Pro's 2x telephoto.

Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality.

Based on battery capacity (mAh) adjusted for platform efficiency calibrated against NotebookCheck, Tom's Guide, GSMArena and CNET reviewer tests. Apple A-series gets +45% (iOS process freezing + LTPO 1Hz + tuned panels make iPhone Pro Max outlast many 6500+ mAh Android phones in measured tests). Top Snapdragon / Dimensity flagships get +15%, budget chipsets are penalised −15% to −25% to reflect less efficient displays and looser background limits. Charging speed is excluded — see the separate Fast charging tag for that.
