About the OnePlus Nord 2T
The OnePlus Nord 2T was a mid-cycle refresh rather than a reinvention, and four years on that is exactly how it still feels. It kept the Nord 2's 6.43-inch AMOLED panel and 4,500mAh battery but moved to the Dimensity 1300 chip and, more usefully, to 80W SuperVOOC charging, which takes the phone from flat to full in around half an hour. The 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor is the reason it aged as well as it did: it is the same sensor OnePlus used in far pricier phones at the time, and it still produces clean daylight shots and respectable low-light photos for a mid-ranger. The 8MP ultrawide and 2MP depth camera are makeweights. There is no headphone jack, no microSD slot and no wireless charging, and the IPX4 rating covers splashes rather than a dunking. Software is the main caveat now: it shipped on Android 12 with OxygenOS and its update window has long since closed, so you are buying a phone that will not see further Android versions.
