The Nokia C30 is one of the few phones that gives you a genuinely enormous screen and a genuinely enormous battery without asking much in return. The 6.82-inch panel is bigger than most flagships and the 6,000mAh cell behind it routinely stretches to two days of ordinary use, which is the entire reason to buy one. The trade-off is honest and obvious: the Unisoc SC9863A chip and Android 11 Go edition keep things moving for messaging, video and web browsing, but the phone visibly slows once you stack apps or try anything demanding. It is also heavy at 237g and physically large, so it suits a coat pocket or handbag better than jeans. The 13MP main camera is fine in daylight and unremarkable after dark. Being a 2021 release, it is well past its software support window, which rules it out as a main phone for anyone doing banking or work email on it. As a big-screen, long-battery second phone for reading, video and calls, it still makes sense in a way few budget handsets do.
