There is no camera, no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi and no app store, just calls, texts, an FM radio, a torch and a handful of games on a 1.8-inch colour screen. Because there is almost nothing running in the background, the 1,000mAh battery goes far longer between charges than any smartphone, which is why phones like this end up as festival phones, work phones, spares for the glovebox, or a first handset for a child. It weighs under 80g, has physical keys you can use without looking, takes one or two SIMs depending on the version, and is splash resistant enough to survive a rainy bus stop. The important caveat for UK buyers is the network: this is a 2G-only handset. It cannot connect to 3G, 4G or 5G, so it will not work on Three, which has never run a 2G network, and calls will not use VoLTE. On operators that still carry 2G it does exactly what it promises. Choose it if you want a phone that is hard to lose, cheap to replace and impossible to doomscroll on.
