About the Honor 600

The Honor 600 keeps the parts of a flagship that people actually notice and drops the ones they mostly do not. It uses the same 6.57-inch AMOLED panel as the pricier 600 Pro, which is one of the brightest screens going for HDR video, and the same 200MP main camera, which is comfortably the best thing about the phone. Daylight shots hold plenty of detail and it copes with dim rooms better than most mid-rangers manage. What you give up is reach: there is no telephoto lens, so anything past about 10x is digital guesswork, and the 12MP ultrawide goes soft towards the edges. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is the other compromise, perfectly fine for messaging, browsing and casual games but the first thing to run out of headroom if you push it. In return you get a 6,400mAh battery that reviewers consistently single out as a strength, 80W charging, IP68 and IP69K ratings, and six years of Android updates. There is no wireless charging on European models, which is the omission most likely to grate.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Honor 600 worth buying?
Yes, if you want a bright screen, a strong main camera and battery life that lasts, and you can live without a zoom lens. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is the weakest part of the package next to similarly priced rivals, and there is no wireless charging on European models. For everyday use it holds up well and the six-year update commitment is generous.
Does the Honor 600 have wireless charging?
No. European models charge at 80W over a cable only, with 27W reverse wired charging for accessories. If wireless charging matters to you, the Honor 600 Pro adds it at 50W and is otherwise built around the same display and main camera.
How good is the Honor 600 camera?
The 200MP main sensor is genuinely good, with a large 1/1.4-inch footprint and OIS that keeps detail in daylight and after dark. The gap is zoom: there is no telephoto lens, so cropping past roughly 10x falls apart quickly. The 12MP ultrawide autofocuses but loses detail near the frame edges, and the 50MP selfie camera has fixed focus.
Is the Honor 600 waterproof?
It holds both IP68 and IP69K ratings, which is unusually strong for this part of the market. IP68 covers submersion in fresh water to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes, and IP69K adds high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. That is a real upgrade on the Honor 400's splash-only IP65.
How long will the Honor 600 receive software updates?
Honor promises up to six major Android version updates plus six years of security patches. It ships on Android 16 with MagicOS 10, so support runs to around 2032. Only Google's seven-year Pixel commitment beats it in this bracket.
Should I choose the Honor 600 or the Honor 600 Lite?
The 600 is the better phone in the ways that show: a brighter display, a 200MP main camera against the Lite's 108MP, a faster Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, quicker 80W charging and stronger IP68/IP69K protection. The 600 Lite is lighter at 180g, has a marginally larger 6,520mAh battery and costs less, so it makes sense if endurance and outlay matter more than camera and screen quality.

Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality. Where DXOMARK has lab-tested the phone, its measured score replaces this estimate.

Based on battery capacity (mAh) adjusted for platform efficiency calibrated against NotebookCheck, Tom's Guide, GSMArena and CNET reviewer tests. Apple A-series gets +45% (iOS process freezing + LTPO 1Hz + tuned panels make iPhone Pro Max outlast many 6500+ mAh Android phones in measured tests). Top Snapdragon / Dimensity flagships get +15%, budget chipsets are penalised −15% to −25% to reflect less efficient displays and looser background limits. Charging speed is excluded — see the separate Fast charging tag for that.
