Switch from VOXI to Vodafone
Keep your phone number when you switch from VOXI to Vodafone. Here's how in 3 simple steps.
Switching from VOXI to Vodafone keeps you on the same network while giving you access to Vodafone's full range of plans, including contract deals with new handsets. Since VOXI runs on Vodafone's network, your coverage stays exactly the same — this is purely a plan and provider change. Many people make this move when they want a phone contract with a new device included, or when they need features that VOXI doesn't offer like roaming add-ons or business plans.
Important Warning
Do NOT cancel your contract manually. If you cancel before transferring your number, you will lose it permanently. Your old contract will automatically cancel once the transfer completes.
Pre-Switch Checklist
- Back up your data: Contacts, voicemails, and saved messages won't transfer.
- Unlock your phone: Ensure it's not locked to your old network if you plan to keep using it.
- Check Early Termination Fees: Text INFO to 85075 to see if you'll incur charges for leaving early.
How to Switch from VOXI to Vodafone
Get your PAC code from VOXI
Text PAC to 65075 from your VOXI phone to get your PAC code within 60 seconds by text. You can also call 191 from your VOXI SIM to speak with the customer service team, or manage it through your VOXI account at voxi.co.uk. Since VOXI plans are 30-day rolling, there are no early termination fees to worry about — you can leave at any time. Your PAC code stays valid for 30 days.
Give your PAC to Vodafone
Choose your Vodafone plan at vodafone.co.uk or visit a Vodafone store. During the sign-up process, select the option to keep your current number and enter your PAC code. If you're ordering online and miss this step, you can call Vodafone on 191 or 0333 304 0191 to submit the PAC after your order. Vodafone's website and shops both handle number transfers as a standard part of the sign-up.
Wait 1 working day
Vodafone will port your number on the next working day after receiving the PAC. You'll get a confirmation text with the switch date. When the transfer happens, your VOXI SIM stops working and your new Vodafone SIM activates with your existing number. Since both use the same underlying network, the transition is typically very smooth with minimal downtime. Your VOXI account closes automatically.
Transfer Cut-off Times: Submitting your PAC code before 5:30 PM usually means your number will transfer the next working day. Submitting it after 5:30 PM or on weekends/bank holidays will add an extra working day to the process.
Final Bill: You'll receive a final bill from VOXI shortly after the transfer is complete. This covers your usage up to the date of the switch.
Things to Check Before Switching
Since VOXI is a rolling monthly plan, there's no early termination fee. Your current month's payment covers you until the end of that billing cycle, but once the number ports, the VOXI service ends. Make sure you use up any remaining data before the switch. If you're getting a new phone with your Vodafone contract, you won't need to worry about unlocking since Vodafone phones work natively on the network. If you're bringing your own device, just ensure it's unlocked.
Same Network Coverage
VOXI and Vodafone share the exact same network, so your coverage will be identical after switching. There's no change to signal strength, data speeds, or indoor coverage. This makes the switch entirely risk-free from a coverage perspective.
