Switch from Vodafone to VOXI
Keep your phone number when you switch from Vodafone to VOXI. Here's how in 3 simple steps.
Moving from Vodafone to VOXI means staying on the same network while typically paying less. VOXI is owned by Vodafone and runs entirely on Vodafone's network, so your coverage won't change one bit. VOXI is aimed at a younger audience and stands out for offering endless social media, video, or music data on selected plans — meaning apps like TikTok, YouTube, and Spotify don't eat into your data allowance. You'll keep your number and the switch takes one working day.
Important Warning
Do NOT cancel your contract manually. If you cancel before transferring your number, you will lose it permanently. Your old contract will automatically cancel once the transfer completes.
Pre-Switch Checklist
- Back up your data: Contacts, voicemails, and saved messages won't transfer.
- Unlock your phone: Ensure it's not locked to your old network if you plan to keep using it.
- Check Early Termination Fees: Text INFO to 85075 to see if you'll incur charges for leaving early.
How to Switch from Vodafone to VOXI
Get your PAC code from Vodafone
Text PAC to 65075 from your Vodafone phone and your code will arrive by text within a minute. You can also call 191 from your Vodafone handset or 0333 304 0191 from another phone, or log into your My Vodafone account at vodafone.co.uk to request it online. Vodafone's retention team will likely try to keep you with a better deal — up to you whether to hear them out. The PAC lasts 30 days once issued.
Give your PAC to VOXI
Go to voxi.co.uk and pick a plan that suits you. During checkout, select the option to keep your existing number and type in your PAC code. You can also call VOXI on 191 if you need help submitting it. VOXI plans are all 30-day rolling, so you're not committing to a long contract. Once you've placed the order, your VOXI SIM will be posted out.
Wait 1 working day
The number transfer takes place on the next working day after VOXI receives your PAC. You'll get a text confirming the switch date. When it happens, your Vodafone SIM deactivates and your VOXI SIM picks up your number. Since both use the same network, the transition is usually very smooth. Your Vodafone contract ends automatically once the port is complete — no need to call Vodafone to close anything.
Transfer Cut-off Times: Submitting your PAC code before 5:30 PM usually means your number will transfer the next working day. Submitting it after 5:30 PM or on weekends/bank holidays will add an extra working day to the process.
Final Bill: You'll receive a final bill from Vodafone shortly after the transfer is complete. This covers your usage up to the date of the switch.
Things to Check Before Switching
Check your Vodafone account for any outstanding device plan payments, as these will need to be settled. Early termination fees may also apply if you're mid-contract on your airtime plan. Since VOXI uses Vodafone's network, your phone will definitely be compatible. Still, make sure your handset is unlocked — Vodafone phones sold after December 2021 should be unlocked already. VOXI is SIM-only, so you'll need your own phone.
Same Network Coverage
VOXI runs on the Vodafone network — the same one you're using right now. Your coverage, signal strength, and data speeds will be identical after switching. If Vodafone works well in your area today, VOXI will work exactly the same.
