The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ was Xiaomi's push to drag its mid-range Note line towards flagship territory, and it still holds up better than most phones from its year. The headline is the 200MP main camera, which matters less for raw resolution than for the crop room it gives you: pixel-binned daylight shots are clean and detailed, and you can zoom in without a dedicated telephoto lens. Low light is where the price shows, with softer detail and slower processing than a true flagship. Charging is the other genuine standout, as 120W wired refills the 5,000mAh battery in well under half an hour, which changes how you think about topping up during the day. The 6.67-inch AMOLED panel and the IP68 rating were both unusual at this level in 2023, and the Dimensity 7200 Ultra remains comfortable for everyday apps and light gaming even if it no longer feels quick. Xiaomi has taken it as far as Android 15 with HyperOS 2, so the remaining software runway is shorter than on a newer mid-ranger. Buy it for the camera hardware, the screen and the charging speed rather than for long-term support.

It is still a strong buy if you want flagship-style hardware at mid-range money, particularly the 200MP stabilised main camera, the 1.5K AMOLED screen, IP68 protection and 120W charging. The trade-off is age: it launched on Android 13 and has already been updated to Android 15 with HyperOS 2, so it has less update life left than a newer model. Judge it on the hardware you get today rather than on how long it will keep receiving major Android versions.
Is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ camera good?
The 200MP main sensor with optical stabilisation is excellent in daylight and the high pixel count gives usable digital zoom without a telephoto lens. The 8MP ultrawide is much weaker and the 2MP macro is a token extra. In low light it is decent rather than class-leading, with visibly softer detail than a flagship.
