The Redmi Note 10S sits between the standard Redmi Note 10 and the Note 10 Pro, and its job is to give you a bigger main camera and more processing headroom without changing the body or the price bracket much. It uses the same compact 6.43-inch AMOLED panel as the base model, which remains the phone's best feature: for a budget device the contrast and outdoor brightness are genuinely good, even though it stays at 60Hz while cheaper LCD rivals moved to 90Hz. MediaTek's Helio G95 is the meaningful change, giving noticeably more gaming headroom than the Snapdragon 678 in the standard Note 10, though it runs warmer and is less frugal with the battery. The 64MP main camera resolves more detail in daylight than the 48MP sensor it replaces, but low-light results are much the same. Xiaomi also fitted the extras budget phones usually lose first: stereo speakers, a headphone jack, an IR blaster, a microSD slot and IP53 splash resistance. Five years on it is a well-rounded used or clearance buy rather than a current recommendation, since its software support has ended.
