About the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G
The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G was the generation where Samsung's book-style foldable stopped feeling like an experiment. It was the first Fold to be water resistant, the first to work with the S Pen, and the first to hide its inner selfie camera under the display so the 7.6-inch screen opens out uninterrupted. Unfolded it is closer to a small tablet than a phone, which makes it genuinely useful for reading documents, running two apps side by side, or watching something without squinting, and the 6.2-inch cover screen is narrow but perfectly usable one-handed. The costs are weight and cameras. At 271g it is a heavy thing to carry, and the triple 12MP rear system is solid but a clear step behind the Galaxy S flagships of the same period. Battery life from the 4,400mAh cell is respectable only if you spend most of your time on the cover screen. As an older foldable it makes most sense for buyers who want the large inner display and can live with a thick, hefty device.
