Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE on 27 August 2026, so the details here are launch specifications rather than the verdict of independent testing. The meaningful change is the chipset: the 3nm Exynos 2500 replaces the 4nm Exynos 2400 in the S25 FE, which should help the phone hold its speed under sustained load and take less of a toll on the battery. Almost everything else carries across untouched. It is the same 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel at 1,900 nits, the same 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and the same trio of 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide and 8MP 3x telephoto cameras. What has moved is the software wrapped around them. The S26 FE ships on Android 17 with One UI 9 and inherits camera features Samsung had reserved for pricier models, including My FanCam subject tracking and horizon-locked Super Steady video. Seven years of OS upgrades and security patches apply here exactly as they do on the S26 proper, which remains the strongest argument for the FE line.
