About the Samsung Galaxy M32

The Galaxy M32 is the phone Samsung built for people who shop on spec sheets rather than brand loyalty, and it shows in the choices. Where the cheaper A-series models of the same era settled for 720p, the M32 pairs its 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with a full 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, and that combination still looks good years later. Underneath it is ordinary: the Helio G80 is fine for messaging, streaming and social apps but not for serious gaming, and the eMMC storage means app installs and large file transfers feel sluggish. The 64MP main camera is the pick of the four rear lenses and does respectable work in daylight, with the 8MP ultrawide useful and the 2MP macro and depth sensors largely decorative. Samsung kept the headphone jack, microSD expansion and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and took the phone to Android 13 before support ended. It is 4G only, so treat it as a screen-first bargain rather than a phone with much life ahead of it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Samsung Galaxy M32 worth buying?
The Galaxy M32 is worth buying if you want a large, sharp 1080p Super AMOLED screen at low cost. Performance from the Helio G80 is average, it is 4G only, and software support has ended. As a media and browsing phone it still punches above its weight.
What is the Samsung Galaxy M32 battery capacity?
The international Galaxy M32 sold in Europe uses a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and comfortably lasts a full day. Samsung sold a different Indian version with a larger 6,000mAh cell, slower 15W charging and a thicker, heavier body, so check which model you are looking at.
Does the Samsung Galaxy M32 have 5G?
No, the Galaxy M32 is a 4G-only phone. Samsung released a separate Galaxy M32 5G with different internals if you need 5G. On the standard M32 you will be limited to 4G for the life of the handset.
Is the Samsung Galaxy M32 camera good?
The 64MP main sensor is genuinely capable in daylight and resolves plenty of detail, and the 8MP ultrawide is useful for landscapes and group shots. The 2MP macro and depth sensors add little. Low-light performance is weak and video tops out at 1080p, so it is not a phone for night-time photography.
How long will the Samsung Galaxy M32 receive updates?
It no longer receives them. The M32 shipped on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 and was upgraded as far as Android 13 with One UI 5 before its support window closed. It will not get further Android versions or security patches.
How does the Samsung Galaxy M32 compare to the Galaxy M22?
The M32 is the clearly better phone of the two. Both use the same Helio G80 chip, 5,000mAh battery and 6.4-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED panel, but the M32's screen is full 1080p against the M22's 720p, and its 64MP main camera and 20MP selfie camera both out-resolve the M22's 48MP and 13MP pairing. The M22 is slightly heavier at 186g versus 180g.
