The realme C51 is an entry-level phone that spends its money in two obvious places: a big battery and fast charging. The 5,000mAh cell easily lasts more than a day with light use, and 33W SUPERVOOC charging is genuinely quick for this end of the market, where 10W bricks are still normal. Everything else is honestly basic. The 6.74-inch screen is large and runs at 90Hz, which helps scrolling feel less sluggish, but it is a 720p LCD, so text and images look noticeably coarser than on a full HD panel. The Unisoc Tiger T612 copes with messaging, browsing and video, though it slows down when you push it with multiple apps or anything demanding. Photography is limited to a 50MP main camera that does reasonable daylight work and struggles indoors, backed by a depth sensor rather than a useful second lens. There is no 5G, so this is a 4G-only phone. Taken for what it is, it is a sturdy first phone, a spare handset or a low-cost option for someone who mainly wants calls, messaging and long battery life.
