About the Oppo Find N2 Flip

The Find N2 Flip was Oppo's first clamshell foldable and the phone that pushed the format forward in the UK, largely because of two design decisions. The first is the 3.26-inch cover screen, which is tall enough to read messages properly, control music and frame selfies with the main cameras instead of squinting at a token strip of glass. The second is the water-drop hinge, which lets the phone close completely flat and leaves a far shallower crease than the flip phones it launched against. Inside, the Dimensity 9000+ chip is quick enough for everyday use and gaming, and the 4,300mAh battery is generous for a folding phone, with 44W charging that reaches around half in 23 minutes. The compromises are the ones the format always brings: no official IP water resistance rating, no wireless charging, and a two-camera system that is good in daylight but behind conventional flagships at night. Oppo promised three Android upgrades and four years of security updates, so a used or refurbished unit is now in the later part of its support life.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Oppo Find N2 Flip worth buying?
The Find N2 Flip is worth buying if you want a compact folding phone with a genuinely useful cover screen and one of the least visible creases of its generation. Battery life is strong for a flip and performance from the Dimensity 9000+ still holds up for everyday use. The absence of an IP water resistance rating and wireless charging are the main reasons to look elsewhere.
How big is the Oppo Find N2 Flip cover screen?
The cover screen measures 3.26 inches with a 720 x 382 resolution, making it noticeably taller than the small outer displays on rival flip phones of the same period. It is large enough to read and reply to messages, check your calendar, control playback and use the 50MP main camera for selfies without opening the phone.
Is the Oppo Find N2 Flip waterproof?
No. The Find N2 Flip does not carry an official IP water resistance rating, so it should be kept away from rain, pools and splashes. This is a genuine drawback compared with some rival foldables that are rated for immersion.
Does the Oppo Find N2 Flip have a visible crease?
There is a crease, as on every folding phone, but Oppo's water-drop hinge lets the display curve more gently inside the body and the result is one of the shallowest creases of its generation. You can feel it if you run a finger across the middle of the screen, but it is hard to notice while watching video or browsing.
How long does the Oppo Find N2 Flip battery last?
The 4,300mAh battery is large by flip phone standards and generally sees out a full day of mixed use, which reviewers consistently rated as a strength. Charging is 44W wired and reaches about 50 percent in 23 minutes, but there is no wireless charging.
Should I get the Oppo Find N2 Flip or the Oppo Find X5 Pro?
The Find N2 Flip is the one to pick if a pocketable folding design and the large cover screen appeal to you. The Find X5 Pro is the more conventional flagship with a sharper QHD+ screen, a triple camera including a telephoto lens, IP68 water resistance and 50W wireless charging. Compare Oppo Find X5 Pro deals if durability and camera range matter more than the folding form factor.

Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality.

Based on battery capacity (mAh) adjusted for platform efficiency calibrated against NotebookCheck, Tom's Guide, GSMArena and CNET reviewer tests. Apple A-series gets +45% (iOS process freezing + LTPO 1Hz + tuned panels make iPhone Pro Max outlast many 6500+ mAh Android phones in measured tests). Top Snapdragon / Dimensity flagships get +15%, budget chipsets are penalised −15% to −25% to reflect less efficient displays and looser background limits. Charging speed is excluded — see the separate Fast charging tag for that.
