The OnePlus 7T is the model that quietly did the important work in its generation. It brought the 90Hz display down from the Pro to the standard phone, moved to the faster Snapdragon 855+, and added the ultrawide lens the plain OnePlus 7 had gone without, all in a flat-screened body that is easier to live with than its curved sibling. The 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel is the sensible choice here: sharp enough at this size, and less draining than the Pro's QHD+ screen on a 3,800mAh battery. Warp Charge 30T means a flat phone is usable again in minutes rather than hours, which matters more day to day than raw capacity. OxygenOS was at its peak in this era, fast and close to stock without feeling bare. The gaps are familiar for OnePlus at the time: no official water resistance rating, no wireless charging, no headphone jack and no microSD. Updates ended with Android 12, so a 7T today is a capable used phone with no further patches coming.
