Motorola Edge 30 Neo Deals - July 2026

5 refurbished deals available - SIM-free from £169.00.

About the Motorola Edge 30 Neo

The Motorola Edge 30 Neo was built for people the rest of the industry had largely given up on: those who want a small phone. At 6.28 inches and 155g it is genuinely compact by modern standards, and unlike most compact phones it does not feel like a stripped-back version of something better. The pOLED panel runs at 120Hz, the 64MP main camera is optically stabilised, and Motorola fitted 68W charging that refills the phone in around 40 minutes, plus 5W wireless charging that the larger, more expensive Edge 30 does without. The Snapdragon 695 is the honest limitation. It is a mid-range chip that handles everyday apps and social media smoothly but runs out of headroom in demanding games. The 4,020mAh battery is small in absolute terms, though the modest screen size means it still gets most people through a day. Motorola's near-stock Android and Pantone-developed colour finishes remain a draw, but there is no headphone jack, no microSD slot and only an IP52 rating, so it is splash-resistant rather than waterproof.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Motorola Edge 30 Neo worth buying?
The Motorola Edge 30 Neo is worth buying if a genuinely compact phone matters more to you than raw performance. It is one of very few small handsets with a 120Hz OLED screen, a stabilised main camera, 68W charging and wireless charging. The Snapdragon 695 is only mid-range and the 4,020mAh battery is modest, so heavy users should look elsewhere.
Is the Motorola Edge 30 Neo a small phone?
Yes. At 152.9 × 71.2 × 7.75mm and 155g with a 6.28-inch display, the Edge 30 Neo is one of the smallest and lightest Android phones of its generation. It is noticeably easier to use one-handed and to pocket than the standard Edge 30, which is 6.5 inches.
Does the Motorola Edge 30 Neo have wireless charging?
Yes, the Edge 30 Neo supports 5W wireless charging, which is unusual at this level and something the pricier standard Edge 30 does not offer. Wired charging is much faster at 68W, filling the 4,020mAh battery in roughly 40 minutes.
Does the Motorola Edge 30 Neo have a headphone jack or microSD slot?
No to both. The Edge 30 Neo has no 3.5mm headphone jack and no microSD card slot, so you will need wireless or USB-C earphones and should choose between the 128GB and 256GB versions carefully. It does have stereo speakers and NFC for contactless payments.
Is the Motorola Edge 30 Neo waterproof?
No. The Edge 30 Neo carries an IP52 rating, which covers dust ingress and light splashes or rain but not submersion. Keep it out of baths, pools and heavy downpours, as it is not rated in the way an IP67 or IP68 phone would be.
What is the difference between the Motorola Edge 30 Neo and the Motorola Edge 30?
The standard Edge 30 has a larger 6.5-inch 144Hz screen and a faster Snapdragon 778G+ chip with a 50MP ultrawide camera, while the Neo is far more compact at 6.28 inches and adds much faster 68W charging plus 5W wireless charging the Edge 30 lacks. Both use the same 4,020mAh battery and weigh 155g.

Based on main-sensor size (1-inch / 1/1.3" beats 1/2.0"), telephoto reach (periscope > 5x > 3x optical), image processing tier (Apple Pro, Pixel Pro, Galaxy Ultra, Honor Magic Pro, Xiaomi Ultra), pro video features (ProRes, Apple Log, Dolby Vision), camera-partnership branding (Leica, Hasselblad, Zeiss) and OIS. Older flagships are de-rated since image processing pipelines have advanced significantly each generation. Megapixel count is deliberately downweighted — it correlates poorly with real-world camera quality.

Based on battery capacity (mAh) adjusted for platform efficiency calibrated against NotebookCheck, Tom's Guide, GSMArena and CNET reviewer tests. Apple A-series gets +45% (iOS process freezing + LTPO 1Hz + tuned panels make iPhone Pro Max outlast many 6500+ mAh Android phones in measured tests). Top Snapdragon / Dimensity flagships get +15%, budget chipsets are penalised −15% to −25% to reflect less efficient displays and looser background limits. Charging speed is excluded — see the separate Fast charging tag for that.
