Alcatel 1 (2021) 16GB deals

The Alcatel 1 (2021) sits at the very bottom of the smartphone market, designed for buyers who need the cheapest possible way onto a smartphone contract rather than anyone looking for a capable everyday device. Its compact 5.0-inch screen and light 134g body make it easy to pocket, but the low resolution and small size mean it is best suited to calls, texts, and basic apps rather than browsing or video. Android 11 Go edition strips back the operating system to run on just 1GB of RAM, so multitasking is minimal and app choice is limited to lighter Go-edition alternatives of popular apps. The single 5MP rear camera is a step below even other budget phones and struggles outside good lighting. Battery life from the small 2000mAh cell is modest, generally needing a top-up before the end of a heavy day, though light users get through comfortably. This phone makes sense as a first phone for a child, a basic backup device, or the cheapest possible route to a working SIM, but anyone wanting to browse the web, use social media properly, or take photos should look at a step-up model instead.
