Tesco Mobile has launched a new wave of Clubcard-exclusive deals, positioning its loyalty scheme integration as a core selling point against MVNO rivals like Giffgaff, Smarty and iD Mobile. From 1 November, Clubcard members signing up to any pay monthly contract will receive a 25% discount for the first six months, plus Clubcard points on every pound spent.
The deal is available on both handset and SIM-only plans, and stacks with Tesco Mobile's existing "Anytime Upgrade" flexibility that lets customers upgrade their handset early without penalty fees.
How the Clubcard discount works
- 25% off for 6 months: Automatically applied at checkout when you log in with your Clubcard account
- Double points: 2 Clubcard points per £1 spent on Tesco Mobile bills (up from 1)
- Anytime Upgrade: Existing feature - upgrade your phone once your device value exceeds your remaining contract
- Data rollover: Unused data rolls over for 30 days, as standard
- Clubcard Prices: Exclusive offers on accessories and add-ons
Example savings
Here's what the discount looks like in practice on three popular plans currently being promoted at Tesco Mobile:
| Plan | Standard | Clubcard (first 6 months) | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 17 128GB, 25GB data, 24 months | £47.99 pm | £35.99 pm | £72 over 6 months |
| Samsung Galaxy A56 256GB, 50GB data, 24 months | £22.99 pm | £17.24 pm | £34.50 over 6 months |
| Unlimited SIM-only, 12 months | £19.99 pm | £14.99 pm | £30 over 6 months |
How to claim
Customers need a registered Tesco Clubcard that is linked to the same email address used at Tesco Mobile signup. The discount is applied automatically in the online checkout and in-store when a customer hands over their Clubcard. Existing Tesco Mobile customers can also benefit at their next upgrade.
For anyone who already shops at Tesco on Clubcard Prices, the stacked savings across groceries, fuel and now mobile make a compelling case - especially in light of the looming Ofcom rules that prevent mid-contract price increases from April 2026.
How does it compare?
Tesco Mobile's 25%-for-six-months offer is one of the most aggressive introductory discounts currently available on any UK network. Vodafone's EVO plan offers similar flexibility but no headline discount; Sky Mobile offers lower ongoing pricing for Sky TV households but less upgrade flexibility; and MVNOs like Smarty beat Tesco on pure SIM-only pricing but don't offer handset contracts at all.
For the estimated 20 million UK households with an active Clubcard, Tesco Mobile has just made itself meaningfully harder to ignore.
