About the Nokia G11
The Nokia G11 is a deliberately plain budget phone, and that is the point of it. HMD built the G series around durability and battery life rather than headline specs, and the G11 delivers on both: the 5,050mAh cell is one of the largest at this level and, paired with a low-power Unisoc T606 chip and a 720p screen, it will see most people through two days without much thought. The 90Hz refresh rate is a nice touch that makes scrolling feel smoother than the rest of the spec sheet suggests. Everything else is basic. The 6.5-inch display is only HD+, so text and video look soft next to a Full HD panel, 3GB of RAM means apps reload in the background more often than you would like, and the 13MP main camera is a daylight-only proposition. Storage starts at 32GB, so the microSD slot is close to essential. It launched on Android 11 with Nokia's characteristically clean, bloat-free software, though that update window has now passed. As a rugged, long-lasting phone for simple use, it still does its job.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Nokia G11 worth buying?
The Nokia G11 is worth buying only if battery life and simplicity are your priorities. The 5,050mAh cell and efficient Unisoc chip give genuinely long endurance, and Nokia's clean software has no bloatware. But 3GB of RAM, a 720p screen and a basic 13MP camera make it a poor fit for anyone who uses apps or takes photos heavily.
How long does the Nokia G11 battery last?
The 5,050mAh battery combined with a low-power Unisoc T606 processor and a 720p screen means two days between charges is realistic for light to moderate use. Charging is capped at 18W, and Nokia supplied a 10W charger in the box, so a full refill takes a while.
Does the Nokia G11 support 5G?
No, the Nokia G11 is a 4G-only phone. It connects to 4G LTE on all UK networks but cannot access 5G. If you want 5G on a Nokia handset you would need to look at the X series instead.
Does the Nokia G11 have a headphone jack and microSD slot?
Yes to both. It keeps a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired headphones and takes microSD cards up to 512GB. The card slot is close to essential here because internal storage starts at just 32GB.
Is the Nokia G11 camera good?
The 13MP main camera is fine in good daylight and struggles as soon as light drops. The 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors contribute very little in practice, and the 8MP front camera is adequate for video calls. This is not a phone to buy for photography.
Should I get the Nokia G11 or the Nokia G21?
The Nokia G21 is the better buy for most people. It shares the same 6.5-inch 90Hz screen, Unisoc T606 chip and 5,050mAh battery, but adds a 50MP main camera in place of 13MP, an extra gigabyte of RAM and much larger storage options. The G11 only makes sense if you want the simplest version of the same phone. Compare Nokia G21 deals.
