2013 January 04, 20:49I had this phone as a first phone in year 6 (age 10/11) and it was great for a starter phone ... BUT ... I didn't realise my dad intended me to have this phone untill I was 16!!!!! It is still alive and I am 15 so I've had it for 5/6 years It hasn't run out of memory or broken, it is a bit scratched but thats about it. I'M SO SICK OF THIS PHONE!!!!! BUT it's survived so Its a great starter phone

2012 April 12, 17:23If you take good care of it - as in, if you keep it away from water - then it should all work fine. This phone does not react all that well to water. You get what you paid for, you get a little camera which takes acceptable pictures, simple internet connection, room for a memory card of any size, a good music player, a small collection of mini games, all of the things you'd expect to come with a phone without the fancy extras. I have been using J700's for years, as I really like the size of them and the size of the buttons, it's not one of those phones with tiny buttons.
The only problems I've had with it is that the earphones provided have the habit of breaking easily, even if you have caused them no damage. The sound gets messed up and you have to get new ones, I'm on my third pair of earphones, but that's not too bad. If you get water on the buttons, they will stop working properly, even if it's a small drop. When I say they stop working, I mean they seem the develop a mind of their own and do what the hell they want when they want, and only work for you when they feel like it. This is clearly a problem when you can't answer your phone, send a message or access anything. It's usually a hint that it's time to get a new phone.
Overall, I'd say it was a good buy. Treat it good, and it'll do good. Just watch out for water, and keep some spare headphones handy. Also, it's best to buy a memory card, the memory storage without one is enough to store around one three minute song. -
