LG GU230 reviews

This phone is nice looking and makes nice sounds, but setting it up is a complete frustration. Just like another reviewer said, the manual doesn't tell the user how to do anything. I tried over an over again to get the phone to automatically set the time in my time zone; phone kept going back to the time in Paris and cancels the automatic time set when I try to save the correct time for my time zone. I cannot find another user manual online, and exactly like another reviewer said, the LG website doesn't even list the GU230 as a product!

can any1 help me..this fone is brill 4 evrything i need it 4,i only got it in feb,but this lst week the bluetooth just won't work,it won't send or recieve anything..so has any1 got a clue wot it cud b???

I bought this phone (LG230) from LIDL 1 week ago, and although it looks rather smart, in actual fact it's not far short from being a 'pile of pants', the manual is total garbage, telling you what it can do, but, not telling you how to get to any particular function.....unless you have oodles of spare time on your hands.......it looks like I'll revert back to my 24 quid Nokia, which, by the way, take images without an external stick.........I was just an inch or two away from purchasing one of the new LG 60" flat screen TVs.........now, that is definitely off the list, the worst 60 quid I've spent this year.........but there's still another 4 months to go I suppose!!

just bought the lg230. the manual is a laugh. for someone not so efficient with a handy you have to learn by doing or find a young person who grown up with all these modern gadgets. a little bit more information in the manual would sure help.

When you open the phone the buttons get in the way. Downloading the software as per the manual - LG website does not recognise the GU230. So you cannot download the software! Nice support! LG do not respond to queries. Lidl the seller - well their website crashes if you try to email them ....
If you have a lot of time to waste then buy this phone ... Manual - Do not remove battery if the phone is switched off .... yea??? German version says the opposite.
It's cheap all round - and the camera is like a 1890 brownie for quality! Take one on holiday if you need a sim free phone - otherwise don't bother
