LG Cookie (KP501) reviews
The LG Cookie KP501 in pink is a slim, chic looking device with a large 3 inch colour touchscreen. This is a classy phone with a similar interface to the LG Renoir. With a minimalist design this phone is straight forward to use as it is responsive to fingers. The cookie has onscreen widgets on its homepage, making it easier and quicker for your to access features and applications. More

I love this phone, I have it at the moment. I love it so much that I have a contract on it. Lots of people have negative things to say about it, but in my opinion, it is an amazing phone, great for first timers. If you want an amazingly Hi-Tec phone, this is not the right choice, but if you are looking for a stylish first phone, then the LG KP501 is perfect. I would suggest getting it on Vodafone contract, great value and internet able. I have had it for a while and no problems at all. So I think it's just how people treat their phone, not the actualy LG, as the Cookie is all of my friends fav phone. Five or six of my friends have gone onto the Cookie after me. xx :P

2011 March 10, 09:48when i first had the phone i loved it, it was great. but after about 5-6 months it started playing up, first it wiped all my contacts off so a fiend told me to turn the phone off and back on again and it should reset all my contacts back to normal, but it didnt so i had to get all my contacts back again. i also have a memory card in the phone and every so often it would just wipe everything off it, so i bought another memory card thinking that maybe the memory card was faulty, but it kept doing it with the new memory card aswell. a few times it has called people on its own aswell, for example i left it on the desk next to me while i did my coursework and it was locked and backlight was off, then it lit up and next thing i know its ringing my mom, when i hadent touched it! my friend also had this phone and whenever she tried to send text messages it would simply shut down! it got to point where i was so annoyed with this phone that i went back to my sony erricson walkman phone. i would not recomend this phone to anyone. i agree with hollie this is the worst phone ever.

2011 January 15, 19:11i loved this phone when i first bought it. it is a great phone if you have never had a touchscreen before, there is however alot of problems the phone keeps restarting it occasionally freezes when you are sending texts and after about 7 months or so it doesnt send texts the way it does when you first buy the phone. over the past couple of days in order to recieve texts i have had to switch the phone off then on again and to me that is not acceptable.
the only reason you should buy this phone is if you have never owned a touchscreen before as it is good for getting you used to it -

Apart from that it works brilliant doesnt freeze and doesnt delete my things and the camera is great.. People have different opinions and mine is a good side of the phone. However, im just wondering has it got wifi? as i haved trouble in my house with signal and without signal i cant connect to orange internet.

2010 November 25, 01:34I loved this phone so much WHEN I got it. Now after 1 year it is scratched all over, freezing whenever I do anything and deletes all my pictures. It does nothing fun and the camara is rubbish. I bought this phone thinking it was amazing and the only decent thing about it is that it turns off! I got it in pink to make it more unique and it is a horrible, off putting colour. my worst mistake ever is buying this phone.
Three last words:
Worst. Phone. Ever -

2010 September 24, 20:08I personally, loved this phone WHEN I GOT IT. But that's purely because it was my first touch screen phone! :D but, now i have got my new phone (Samsung Tocco Lite) . The LG COOKIE KP501, was very bad because my phone kept on frezzing. And then if you put it down OR drop it, it turns itself off! :( Then deletes everything you have on your phone memory. Which is very bad !! Hope this helps .
i would suggest NOT to get the LG KP501. Because of the reasons above. Thank You. :) -

2010 August 15, 02:59decent for the price cosidering its the cheapest touch screen phone.. however a few weeks ago my screen just stayed black. it sometimes decides to work properly but sometimes i take it out my pocket and the screen is black even though i can still answer calls and stuff. any help? im gettin the LG GT540 optimus soon anyways but may sell this on if i can fix it. lots of people saty LG are very unrelieable but i dont fully agree.. main problem is the texting is really slow. other than that, decent phone for the rice.

2010 August 09, 00:37They're good if you've never had a touch phone before & they're exiting for the first couple of weeks but when you've got used to it they can become quite boring. I wouldn't highly recomend these phones, but I've seen worse.
- If you are looking into getting a touch phone, I would recomend you buying an LG cookie, to get you used to how to work them, but I can assure you- they're are alot better touch phones out there.
I would highly recomend, Blackberry Curve's they are amazing, I cannot put mine down, the best phone I've had by far! -

2010 June 20, 21:35Worst phone ever! It has no automatic keypad lock which means it phones people in my pocket and uses all my credit, it restarts itself all the time and the predictive text is slow and deletes letters in the middle of words as your typing! Dont know if its just mine or if anyone else's is this bad but this is without a doubt the worst phone ive ever had, im buying a Samsung Tocco asap.

2009 November 10, 21:17Hi
I have the LG cookie KP501. One of my friends has the KP500. We have compared the two and the only difference we can find is the buttons on the front of the phones are different. Other than this they are completely identical.
I have had this phone for 1.5 months now and personally I am very happy with it and I am glad that I bought it. -

2009 July 21, 10:25Hi, Terri.
If you don't want to by this phone with any contract, then you can find it on ebay.co.uk
The price is £104.99.
LG KP501 ir LG CU915 (Vu) comparison:
1. Battey life is better in LG KP501.
2. KP501 doesn't have 3G and HSDPA.
3. CU915 has bigger internal memory, but you can buy MicroSD card and there be no problems with KP501 memory.
4. The camera is better in KP501.
Sorry, but I don't know what LG's CU915 price gonna be:) -
