this phone isn't so bad. I've founded a bug:
open a song, then go to edit an audio profile. down the screen without saving, and the song will continue without the music player is in use! if we look back in the player, and exits, the song will be heard, but the player will not be visible! sorry for bad english, I'm italian;)

a good phone. easy to use and has privary settings (ie, you can lock your messages, music files, internet etc) a good first time phone. good battery life. easy to use internet. camera awful - really poor camera !!!!

the phone is very good but the camera is not sharp.

help anytime i put a sim on my phone it will only say samsung and off but if i don't put sim it works perfecly help

- batery turned shit after 1 week (brought to to store they fix it every thing ok for 2 weeks the nsame shit agean WTF )
- you dont get a usb cable with it how nice -.-
-after buying a usb cable for the damn thing it had to download some shit program that keeps fuucking up at the instalating
(all i whant is to add some fcking songs how hard can it be FFS -.-)
- bluethouth is useless turned on onces and now it wont do a fcking thing anymore
-after calling for around 10 min it just shuts it self down lovly -.-

i bhought it to replace my broken samsung u-600 witch i neven had any problems with (it fell in the water 3 times and still worked fine and ppl call this c3050 the better version of it ? wtf 1 tip dont get it !

What is it with people and mobile phones.They buy a cheap phone and expect it to act like top of the range. I have had this phone now for years and it's brilliant. The battery life is good. It's quite simple to have keypad tones off all the time even when profile is not set to silent (at least I found it easy but then I'm a pensioner). As for costing £50 I think I paid about £10 for mine. Most of the problems people are having sound like user error or the phone is actually faulty and should be returned to the shop. I have no problems with mine.

I am usin' this one about 1,5 years. All I expect from a phone is texting and calling people and this phone gives me what I need. Also it is a solid phone. I don't know how other people can mess up some buttons. Also it's battery is perfect. I can use the phone about 10 days before recharging. If I listen to music battery goes max. 6 hours. (I have tested it one time with full battery) Yeah sure that the camera is not very good but they told you at the begining so it is not a surprise. You pay what you see. In my opinion it is a really nice phone with good usability.

I got this fone as my first fone about 2 years ago. it was alright at first but now it keeps on freezing and turning on and off by its self. There are much better fones out there 4 the same amount of money. And the camera absoulutely sucks. Do not buy this fone, u will just spend ur time getting annoyed with it!(which is exactly wat i do)

worthless phone. i suggest others not ot buy it. i found a rare bug in this phone. the phone will switch off automatically if u speak continuously for 10mins with the flip closed. if u keep the flip open and if u speak on for 30mins it is going good..any how dotn buy this mobile :(

its an ok phone in my opinion, i have it over a year and its not too bad for the amount of money you pay HOWEVER, about 5 months into having it my 2 and 3 buttons stopped working, they would work on and off. i bought this phone as my last one, (sony erricson- which btw are terrible phones because they do not last) so i hoped that by buying a phone around 50 quid i would be getting something reliable until i got my new phone. the buttons would work on and off then recently, the 4 and 7 buttons have started playing up. this is very VERY annoying. doesnt receive texts when you're charging the phone. also switches off every so often when battery is full. not very dependable.

worst phone ever... bought it for my son to keep in his school bag incase of emergencies, after a month he had to charge it even though it had never been turned on, so charged it, turned it off only for it to turn back on by itself... returned to carphone warehouse who had to send ir away for repair, got it back worked fine... until 2wks ago same problem... carphone now have it back again, apparently can't be repaired... waste of bloody money this phone, pile of crap...

it is a good phone i have a PROBLEM the other day i was calling my friend then the screen suddenly came white .I already triead to re star it but it is the same

the Phone might look nice thats about it as soon as you dowm load from the service providers web site the access program to browse the internet. the phone refuses to ring on in comming calls playing with the phone profiles has no effect and the instructions that come with it are rubbish. I assume that Samsung cant afford the services of a technical author

I also hate this phone! When I turn the phone off to charge the battery, it charges fine, but then I try turning it back on after charging and unplugging the charger - and it won't turn back on.

The only way I can turn it back on is by removing the battery for a couple of seconds and then replacing it!

I hate this phone, I've had it over a year now but has hardly ever used it. I hat it. I can't stand the fact that you can't have no keypad noise without puting the profile on silent. I hate it and can't wait till i get a new one!

@ chorley clover. I blive u have not looked into detail at this phone i brought it yesterday and i managed to work out how to turn the keypad tone off.
I think its an alright phone just what i wanted i must admit the only thing i dont like is it has a stupid sound everytime i send a msg.
To change ur volume or mute the keypad go to ur phone profiles go on phone sound and go to phone sound off and that will turn the keypad tones off!

You have to go into the music on your memory card pick the song you want, go onto options select 'set as' and choose ringtone.

This phone is the worst phone i have ever had. I have only had it 1 day and it has turned itself off more than a few times, u cannot change the keypad tone to silent unless the profile is on silent. You cannot make themes only a choice of 3. The writing on the phone looks old and horrible. The look of the phone is nice when it is switched off but a horrible phone to use and very difficult to use. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!!!

it's good in general but my computers dont detect the phone when i plug it in with an old usb cable from an old samsung i had, should i get another cable so i can put music onto my phne or should i get a cd? (which is what it says on the computer)

Just bought this on a pay as you go to replace a company mobile I had (just lost my job). So far I like this phone, however I've input my micro sd card and even though I can play the music that's already on it, I'd like to know how I can chnage the ringtone on the phone to one of the tunes from the sd card. Is this even possible ?
Would appreciate anyone help with this.

This is without a doubt, the worst phone i've ever had the misfortune of owning.
The menus are convoluted and totally unintuitive, the buttons aren't good for those with larger fingers, it rarely connects to my PC and when it does the data retrieved cannot be read by the Samsung software. Texting is a nightmare - after typing a number (mostly '2') when the space button is pressed it comes up with a 0 (whats the point of that?). If there is no signal it will read 'error, message not sent' which is fair enough but then when you try to resend with a signal it will still display the error message and it will continue to do so until you edit the message or go back to the main menu and back to the saved draft, or sometimes it will just stay with the error message for a good hour. Also very frequently for no reason it will reset all my settings and preferences such as ring tones, volumes and vibrate modes. incredibly irritating especially if you've missed important messages coming in.

This phone does however have one good feature... its streamlined, which will make it perfect for tying to a rocket and firing into a solid brick wall!!

This is great little phone for the price. I put an 8GB memory card in it, which lets me store as much music as I like, which I play back at work with a little ALTEC speaker!

You need to download the PC Studio software from the Samsung website; then you can simply click and drag mp3 files across to the "Music" folder.

Make sure the music tracks have the tag info in them (usually default anyway with downloads or ripping music).

Photos can be taken off in same way - click and drag across to your computer when the phone is connected.

hello.. why was there no instrutiom manuel in the box. also why no top up card? i dopped up with the free £10 but this will not be entered on the phone for 3 days, so here i am with a phone i cant use as its as dead as a dodo, thanks.

Just to answer questions above;
No it is not touch screen.
You need a USB lead (plugs in teh charger socket of teh phone to USB on your PC and the samsung PC client (downloadable from Samsung web site).

I have tried to change my left soft key back to show MENU on screen as on photo but for some reason it has CUSTOM on it and i cannot change it back. Does anyone know what I need to do as the instructions are rubbish!

The phone looks really nice and it works well but i don't no how to put the photos that you took onto a computer or put music from the computer to the phone i really need some answers please help cause i i've been taking really nice photos.
